WordPress updates consistently these days. I bet it’s because of the bugs and for security purposes. They also improve some features every now and then.
However, in their last updates I really dislike some of the changes:
- New Media Uploader is nice, but when uploading through a URL of image – You need to edit the “Title” first rather than after, plus you can’t edit the position right away. This should have been improved or something :/
- Page/Post Preview opens within the same window unlike before that it opens in a new tab. To me, I think it’s more convenient that it is opened in a new tab so you’ll just re-save your post and refresh the other opened new tab/window. That way changing isn’t much of a hassle because you see what changes easily.
In truth, I haven’t explored much since I no longer blog that much, but I really think these are some important points for bloggers. There were also reports to me from some blogger friends and hosting clients about corrupt updates. That doesn’t sound cool as well. But, it’s good mine updated smoothly. How’s your experience with the latest WordPress so far?
Oh wow, seems like it was just yesterday but we’ve got another WordPress Update! It was last night when I saw this. Apparently, there’s an update with media. Haven’t used it so much but it was indeed different. The alignment of icons for Visual editing of posts and pages are somehow different as well.
What’s new in WordPress 3.5
Changed a bit, didn’t it?
Media Gallery ats its finest or..?
I haven’t tried uploading through the media gallery yet as I usually rely on my Photobucket account to save some space. But I’m hoping its good. Hello WordPress 3.5!
One of my blogs is currently under demise because I’m only getting an error page even if I have re-installed WordPress in it or reverted back to an old version.
Please check back later…
It’s really annoying because I can’t seem to find any solution despite Google’s amazing searching powers. Can anyone help? :/
My last resort is to use the xml back up instead but it’s really trouble some doing so =/ I remember being able to fix this one but I totally forgot how now.
Edit: It was because of my Maintenance Plugin that was turned on )
Version 3.4.1 addressed some security issues and fixed 21 bugs. For more information, see the release notes.
Yes, apparently there’s another WordPress update out. So you should update your wordpress blogs now to stay secured. Also, don’t forget to make sure your wordpress files aren’t using chmod 777 for file permissions, it will mean lots of trouble because it makes your wordpress files vulnerable to nasty hackers.
To update, simply click the link at the upper part of your wordpress dashboard (wp-admin) and then you’re set! Make sure to back up too, just in case
WordPress Update 3.4.1
Updating your wordpress site or blogs is essential because really, hackers take advantage of the bugs that are in the previous versions.
Time to update WordPress again! It is essential because chances are that the newer version of WordPress has more security fixes. But of course before you update, back up if you are uncertain of some things
When I first used Wordpress, the version was 2.7 . So much transition has happened already! Aside from these their two default themes were also upgraded. Don’t forget to update! Hackers are active as much as updates are, sometimes even if your sites are updated when they’re bored they just do things to ruin your site no matter how much a hassle it is to other people, they will hack them.
