Purchasing from Nokia Ovi Store

As I mentioned before, I’ve been hooked to my Nokia X5 again. Aside from these I’ve discovered how to purchase from Nokia Ovi Store a few months ago. In our country, Philippines – they don’t really allow usage of Visa Cards like how it was with iTunes. So it’s pretty much of a hassle. Not even by Gcash or Smartmoney. But somehow near, I guess.

I purchased 3 themes which I will also introduce for my Nokia X5 website, Strawberried (strawberried.net) but it’s not open yet. Sorry. Among all my purchased themes though, my favorite is Dino.

Dino Theme from MMMOOO

Dino Theme from MMMOOO

This is from MMMOOO, I also bought the Blackberry version of this but you know, it’s wayyyy better in Nokia. Why oh why? I wish they ported those cute icons. The colors blend in well so much. Just perfect for my candy phone!

To purchase from Nokia Ovi Store

1. Create your Nokia Ovi Account (you will be asked upon log in Nokia Store)

You can also check this through Options -> Sign in/Register -> Settings

2. Just follow the instructions. The key here is to make sure you’ve filled up what your primary phone number is

and that you’ve selected Phone Bill as your payment gateway during your account setup.

3. Load up your phone with load and of how much you’re gonna need (Autoload, Smart eLoad)

4. At Nokia Ovi Store, simply purchase or hit buy. Your load will be deducted of how much the application or theme you bought is.

That simple! However, it’d really be much better if purchases using Visa Cards and Master Cards were possible. Even Gcash and Smartmoney would do.

Mini Banner Live Theme for Blackberry 9790 soon?

A few days ago, I followed Lucky45 in twitter and was surprised the following day because he followed me back! But anyway, with our small talk he said a version for Blackberry 9790 of the Mini Banner Live is in the making. I’m excited!

If you try to recall, I blogged of the 3 best and working themes for Blackberry 9790 and remember my description for Seven Point 5:

2. Seven Point Five – It’s really simple but the folders are fab! Also, I had it as my first favorite theme because back then all themes had huge top portions (the one with signal and wifi symbol). Earlier, I have also downloaded a similar version called “Luck” which I just stumbled to after hours of searching for a Blackberry 9790 theme.

Apparently, it’s Lucky45′s theme. His theme was actually my first ever theme for Blackberry 9790 that I found in Crackberry Forums (and the reason why I signed up there too)

There are many themes coming out right now, but what I’m hoping for is that the Theme Studio 7 will be out anytime soon since Blackberry 10 is already out – don’t you think so?

Cute and Smart SMS Viewer for Blackberry

This morning, during my “Appworld Download Time” there were many new applications that were pretty useful. I’ve been downloading themes recently, it’s nice to have more themes for OS 7 that’s compatible with my Blackberry 9790.

One of my favorites though is CuteSMSViewer for Blackberry! It lets you personalize your built-in SMS application. No need for crunchSMS! But then if you still want the pop-up message I suggest you still have/keep it.

Hello Kitty Template

Hello Kitty Theme

It comes with 2 lovely themes – Hello Kitty and Black Beauty. I haven’t used Black Beauty but I have seen the Hello Kitty it’s super cute! Definitely for girls!

But other than that, you can customize it the way you want to! You can edit the backgrounds of the header, body and the composer. You can choose any font of your liking and change font colors (however, for some reason the font color in the header won’t change!)

I have only tested it on my Blackberry 9790 but it should work if you see “Download”, Appworld normally lets you know earlier if you can download an application.
