Viber, now on Windows and Mac!

It seems that Viber has now become available to our desktop, laptop and netbooks! It sounds pretty convenient for someone who doesn’t really look at their phones 24/7 you know (or when working on the desktops or so)

You can download it through their website!
Hopefully, I get decent internet connection so I can test it out myself ~

Parallels Desktop

Mac OS X Lion, awesome, fast and elegant – that’s how most of us see it especially because of its tag price (admit it!) However, there would be times that we’d still need old folk yet trusted Windows OS. This happens often especially with applications and games that only run on Windows.

Windows 7 on Parallels Desktop

Fortunately there are programs like Parallel’s Desktop. You can be good to go with Bootcamp but it’s kind of a hassle when you’re being asked for a blank DVD and you don’t have any around, isn’t it?

How to Convert MP4 to DVD for Windows 8

MPEG-4 format or simply the MP4 surprisingly provide good picture and playback sound quality (which is what we usually have for portable gadgets. With MP4, often people wish to play the same file on television sets with gadgets such as Playstation Portable (also known as PSP), famous iPod and the iPad. However, there is a problem with the files having the incompatibility of encoding – having the need for a working changed decoder in our system. For this purpose, a converter is required that can convert MP4 to DVD which enables it to be played on a different, better and bigger device. The common recommendation of all experts is the Aimersoft brand because it is very efficient for burning MP4 to DVD.

Fortunately, Aimersoft is available in two types – depending on the Operating System used. There is Aimersoft DVD Creator for Mac and the DVD Creator; while the latter can be used in Windows 8 devices available out there the former is meant exclusively for Mac products. This does not mean to say that it is only meant for converting MP4 to DVD. It is also capable of converting other formats too, some examples of file formats it can process are WMV, FLV, MOV, .MPG, MKV and AVI among others. Burning DVD from MP4 is almost the same in the case of both Mac and any Windows 8 device just as long as one is careful about the version of the burner.

With Aimersoft DVD to MP4 Converter as example, first we need to import that particular file into the burner. This can be done very easily with the help of a few clicks on the program. Once files are imported, they are arranged in a list in the file section of the program. These files can also be moved or arranged to set in whatever fashion one likes best.

Once particular file has been highlighted, there will be a menu that mentions the option for editing called “edit”. This can be used to design, change, and crap or adjust all sorts of effect to the file before burning is processed. On the bottom part of the screen at the right hand lower end there will be an option for menu editing. From there a pre-designed template can be chosen depending on what one likes best.

With the choice for the output, option of the DVD can be chosen and then to proceed “Start” will be selected. On doing so, conversion of the file begins, at the end of which MP4 file selected will then be converted to DVD type for it to be played to your different devices. This is how Aimersoft DVD converter works. It can be used to convert MP4 to DVD format in a few clicks in simple steps without troubles!

Microsoft Surface Tablet

Just yesterday,  Microsoft unveiled their first ever tablet which they call the Microsoft Surface Tablet. According to tech pros, it looks really sleek and something that can be compared to iPad however, it was also said that it will be on wifi only at the moment. Nevertheless, here are the specs. It comes in two versions.

Windows RT, light weight but with kick-ass specs.

  • 676g
  • 9.33 mm thick
  • 10.6″ ClearType HD DIsplay
  • 31.5 Wh battery
  • microSD, USB 2.0, Micro HD Video
  • Office Home & Student 2013 RT, Touch Cover, Type Cover
  • 32 GB, 64 GB

Windows 8 Pro, almost same specs with Windows RT but a bit more “pro feel”

  • 903 g
  • 13.5 mm thick
  • 10.6″ ClearType Full HD Display
  • 42 Wh battery
  • microSDXC, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort Video,
  • Touch Cover, Type Cover, Pen with Palm Block
  • 64 GB, 128 GB

Maybe after all, Windows/Microsoft stand a change against Android, Blackberry and Apple. My only theory is, they won’t succeed that quick as developers of apps and games are still glued to the said other two competitors.
