Pod2g Releases a Poll: Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1 or wait for iOS 6?

This morning, one of the tweets I was really checking were from Pod2g and I found out he gave out a poll for iOS users through his Blogger blog, pod2g-ios.blogspot.fr

So, what is your vote? As for me, because I’ve been dying to restore and re-jailbreak (my iPod’s so laggish lately) I did vote for him to release the jailbreak already. But I guess it is indeed wiser to save it for iOS 6 if it’s just around the corner, but do we really know when iOS 6 will be released? And in anyway, will all iDevices be upgraded to iOS 6? It’s okay if it won’t be released though, unless there’s a way to downgrade to iOS 5.0.1 or restore to it. My main reason for upgrading from iOS 4.3.3 was because I wanted to use iMessage and also try the new features. It would have been great but well, my lag issues!

Anyway, I’ve been following iOS security hackers/researchers because I’ve been watching out for iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak and also been curious about these guys, fascinated too I guess. I wonder if I can follow their steps..probably not. Haha, those geniuses!

How to check-in Foursquare using your computer

Foursquare - check-in here! How using the computer?

I suddenly remembered this because a friend asked if you could only check-in Foursquare via your smartphone. Well, there is a way I found out while I was on my internship because I was too lazy to grab my phone one time!

So, this is how to check-in Foursquare using your computer:

1. Go to their mobile website with a browser of course!

m.foursquare.com

2. Log-in with your account.

3. Choose your place…

And I believe you’d know what to do afterwards that will follow because it’s self descriptive :)

There it goes! The only downside is of course, there’s no fancy interface and the points for some reason is lesser compared to when you’re using their app. If anyone knows another way, kindly share!:)

I almost forgot to post about Socially .

It’s an application I found out before with my Nokia X6 , because Gravity (another social app) was being a meany to my dear Nokia X6 before.

Anyway, it’s almost like Tweetdeck , its mobile version, and also Ubersocial which are another social application for smartphones (available for iOS, Android and BB devices) although it doesn’t have themes (that’s the sad part! Lol)

I guess the screen caps will explain to you how it looks! :)

It also has notifications like that of message, in my Nokia X6 , everytime there’s a tweet, a knocking door sound plays, like how it would with Twitdroid .

It’s really cool, something awesome for Nokia phones . Sadly, it’s available for S60 3rd and S60 5th Nokia Symbian Phones . I’ve no clue yet if it also works on Symbian Belle and Symbian Anna . I hope S40 Nokia Symbian Phones will have something like this!

ESETNOD32 blocks CO.CC domains

For some reason, I can’t access any of my co.cc domains and also with my other friends. I know some online dudes are using co.cc domains for abuse however, what about the others?

You can check for yourself if you’re using it as an Anti Virus. I hope it has a fix or something, I tried putting my website’s url to those who are allowed to view but the same thing occurs.

Well, it’s a bad news but maybe there will be a new blessing in disguise out of all this mishap with co.cc. Co.CC website itself is being blocked D: How sad.

Goodbye Co.CC?

Do you remember your Friendster Days?

So Friendster.

News online has it that there will be a new Friendster soon that’s improved and way better. I guess they needed a sort of ‘reformat’ due to the fact that other social networking websites had already beaten them.

In year 2004-2007, Friendster was a big hit among teenagers. In Asia, specifically Philippines were most users came from. Do you remember those days? Testimonials and Friendster Layouts were very famous.

You can see this information through Friendster instead, in case you think it’s hoax or anything. It’s really true. Friendster will keep user accounts with their email but then at most, pictures and other stuff won’t be saved. It’s a total refresh to be exact.

So until May 31, 2011 – you have the chance to backup all your files. You can either transfer them to Multiply or Flickr. You may also back up your whole profile as well as your blog posts (if they’re important to you).

For some, including me – I have very important memorable pictures and posts in Friendster. So I will keep that! And I hope this helps you get informed about what will happen soon with Friendster, I’m really excited. I wonder what’s up with the ‘new Friendster’.

If you’re wondering why I used the old logo, well I had a t-shirt with this logo. And I remember Friendster with this logo, not the green one because I don’t really like that one. It’s like they were trying so hard to be ‘Facebook’, IMO.
