SmartNet problem

SmartNet

SmartNet

So, I wanted to check if this “free access to Facebook and Twitter” with Smartnet. I downloaded the application through Android, but I couldn’t sign up with their widget. I totally removed it afterwards. But the thing is, after removing it my phone seems to have a problem with its memory. Even if I’ve uninstalled things, the memory space won’t update! This all happened after I installed Smartnet. This SmartNet problem is not working for me ;(

Because of this, I’m thinking of re-formatting and finding a new OS. After all, it’s been quite a long time since my last reformat. Heehee.

Google Releases Chrome for iPhone and iPad

Finally, Google releases Google Chrome for iOS devices. For quite some time now, most iOS users were depending on Dolphin Browser and other fancy browsers that could compare to Chrome’s features. Now that the official is released, what do you think will it bring? Perhaps Safari will have to go now?

However, those who have tried out claims it’s not really Google Chrome but rather still the built-in OS because of this:

I haven’t tried it but about to download, it’s available in iTunes now so give it a try! Google Chrome - iTunes App Store

Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1

I am so late to blog about this, but just a few hours ago, the untethered jailbreak for ios 5.1.1 was out! It doesn’t work on all devices I believe. I’m still thinking of upgrading or not. But anyway, so far here are the devices that it works for:

iPhone 4S
iPhone 4
iPhone 3GS
iPad (3rd gen)
iPad 2
iPad 1
iPod touch 3G
iPod touch 4G
Apple TV 2G

I guess it’s better to update to find out the new perks of the updated iOS version!

More details can be found through Redmondpie

Kudos to pod2g, Muscle Nerd and their mates!

Now, should we upgrade?

Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 coming soon?

I’ve been following updates from pod2g, iJailbreak, and other iOS enthusiasts via twitter because if you could recall, I wanted to restore my iTouch. Well, I don’t real this kind of update anymore except that it would be cool too, because it would mean I can finally update to iOS 5.1.1

Pod2g (twitter.com/pod2g) announced that he has already tested the untethered jailbreak for some devices, namely:

  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 4S
  • iPad 1
  • iPad 2 WiFi
  • The New iPad WiFi (iPad 3)
I hope it will work on iPod 4 Touch soon. I also heard developers have been seeing traces of upcoming iOS 6 string lines. Could it be because the update to shield Pod2g’s untethered jailbreak will be out as well?

Navifirm Plus

Navifirm Plus - what exactly is it? Well, for better understanding I’ll explain a bit to you.

Navifirm Plus

Navifirm Plus

It is a software used to download Nokia phone firmwares from the oldest to the newest. This is very useful if you’re someone who loves trying out latest firmwares in advance or if you want to use a CFW (they are essential for restoration and some files are also used with CFW or custom firmwares)

However, using it comes along that responsibility of knowing what your firmware is because even if you find your Nokia phone model, there are different ones from different countries and different versions.

Now, flashing the firmware to your Nokia phone is another thing which is done with JAF  or Phoenix. Remeber though never ever flash older firmwares than your phone’s because it will brick it.

To find out your phone’s correct firmware, simply find out through dialing *#0000# while active. Then turn it off to take out the battery, at the back, you will see a code

Code and Firmware (version can be found doing *#0000#)

These tools are a must if you wish to explore your Symbian phone in so many ways. Just be very careful in the files you will download and double check firmware versions.
