WeChat, you chat!

Sorry for the lame title. Anyway, most of you guys have probably signed up for this other message/chat service called WeChat. Before I only saw this as ad on most of the applications I have on my Android phone, to the point that I found it already annoying – but lately, it’s become the “trend” as they released a commercial locally here in Philippines.

WeChat

Like Viber, Kakaotalk, Kik, Skype, Yahoo messenger, BBM and many more - WeChat is an application that helps you communicate with your friends and family through your wifi or mobile internet as if you were just sending SMS to each other. There are also some perks, voice talk, stickers and the likes.

You can also get it for free and it’s available at Playstore – most of all it’s cross platform! Blackberry, iOS and Windows can also run this application. And that’s why WeChat is awesome.

However, if you’re into cutesy things and KPOP I still prefer Kakaotalk.

iOS 6.1 for iOS Devices

A few days ago, iOS 6.1 has been released in public. Coming from iOS 5.1.1 and iOS 5.0.3 (because I can’t remember which one I was last on) it was a really big change.

iOS 6.1, update or not?

iOS 6.1, update or not?

Indeed, Apple has done it again. They’ve finally applied some things that used to be only available for those who are jailbroken. Speaking of Jailbreak, it was also announced that it will come this Sunday and that this latest update will be accommodated. This has triggered a number of iOS users to update after so long because everyone’s just really waiting for that untethered jailbreak.

Will you get the cheaper iPhone 5?

Recently, I’ve read a lot from technology blogs that iPhone 5 of a cheaper price (but with less of its specs, of course) is on the making. Apple wants to have something for the competition – after all, its because of their price that many are having second thoughts on buying their gadgets.

iPhone 5 - can't it be more affordable?

iPhone 5 – can’t it be more affordable?

While this maybe an option, it’s most probably going to be a tough time since there are also many smartphones that are more affordable and with good specs.

Apple Gadgets or Android Gadgets for Christmas?

What shall your be your Christmas gadget? Honestly, I am clueless if you’re going to ask me. Of course, who wouldn’t want new and better gadgets after all, right?

1. Apple Gadgets

Gadgets from Apple are probably the most expensive ones but you can say that buying them is worth it. After all, they were who started the tablet and smartphone era. However, if you want to save you may want to check other options.

2. Android Gadgets

…Admit it though, Android gadgets wins a lot in so many ways. For one, they are more affordable with the same things that Apple gadgets do. With Android, you have two choices and that is to buy affordable gadgets or expensive ones. They also have more variety compared to Apple. However, it still doesn’t have that “iOS feeling” so you might still want something more in the end.

Conclusion: To come up with a conclusion from myself would be very selfish. First of all, to buy a gadget fit to your liking you should research very well on the unit model. This way, you know if it meets your needs and wants. But I would recommend you choose based on NEEDS versus wants. You don’t want to spend money on something that’s costly when you can buy it at a more affordable price and sometimes, with even better quality.
