“Copy and paste these boxes on a comment to this post and see what happens”
It all started with a line similar to that, there was this post from a page I liked that seemed fun as I saw my officemate did what it said and got cute smilies to show up. So, I tried this little magic he did and this is what happened to me:

Facebook, restricting me to interact with pages
First, I was actually redirected to a page saying that something wrong that seemed to have to do with security have occured (the likes that you get when Facebook suspects phishing and such). I let it off because I thought it was a joke until the next day…

I cannot comment on pages anymore..
I’m joining this contest everyday where in, you share the post, like it and then comment to have the chance to win. However, in this case I got this message every time I wanted to comment. I thought it was just the page but to my horror, it happens on any Facebook page.
When you click on “please let us know” it would take you to a page wherein you can describe the conflict you are facing and also explain why you think they should lift the ban on your account with interacting with pages. That would be cool, I know right!
But Facebook won’t answer. Not a bit, so after hours of research, I got to about 3-5 threads in their help center saying the culprit of this was those mystery boxes that we’ve thought were cool. No more smilies for me as Facebook hasn’t done anything about this so far.

I’m not alone in this world
There had been many replies to this thread posted by someone (I hid it for privacy) up to now and everyone’s waiting if it will somehow be fixed or be forever as some of the accounts no longer has that “end date” (mine too!) But we’re hoping it will certainly be fixed because it’s too much of a hassle to create a new Facebook account.
So the fix to this? To have Facebook know what’s going on. I can’t explain how frustrating it is but I’m just waiting patiently and considering it as a “detention” even though there’s actually no reason, it’s pretty bad.
