As a blogger…

So often, I ask myself if I am still a blogger. For sure though, I’m not enthusiastic blogger that I used to be. Over the last few years so many things have changed, people, interwebs.

It makes me wonder how much longer I will be trying to pursue blogging because every time I get disappointed or get excited – it’s just confusing!

Then again, I am thankful to have found out about blogging. It has perks, it gives you freedom, it gives you information about the world and what you’ve never imagined. But blogging can’t be always fun and all. Sometimes, it gets boring too :/

I’d hate to post about personal things but I thought of sharing about my blogging blues. The hardest part of being a blogger is that you will always be a blogger – but you don’t always have the time.

So many days, you saw a good topic and thought of posting that on your blog but you’re away from your home to type on peacefully your gathered ideas.

It’s like doing the impossible! The only thing you only have is a choice to wait or to be patient. So, these are my blogging blues – what are yours may I ask? Share them too!

Time to update WordPress again! It is essential because chances are that the newer version of WordPress has more security fixes. But of course before you update, back up if you are uncertain of some things ;)

When I first used Wordpress, the version was  2.7 . So much transition has happened already! Aside from these their two default themes were also upgraded. Don’t forget to update! Hackers are active as much as updates are, sometimes even if your sites are updated when they’re bored they just do things to ruin your site no matter how much a hassle it is to other people, they will hack them.

New Look!

I looked for another wordpress theme (while I can’t make one yet) for Just Quixotic – as you can see. I also added a bunch of plugins which I’ve also been doing for my blog. However, it isn’t over yet. I’m using Livefyre now for commenting system by the way ;)

Hello new look =)

I edited damasking wordpress theme because originally, my blog theme color is gray, white and black. I had to change themes because I’ve been noticing before my old theme had errors in the post page. Other than this I need to work on the posts. But I’ll do that a bit later then finally I can move on to my personal blog (hopefully).

So, that’s pretty much for this update!

Got a twitter too so you can follow there for updates @just_quixotic because the one without _ is taken.

Akismet is probably one of the musts-Wordpress-plugins. For me, it helps me get rid of annoying spams. Others might prefer other plugins with the same service but if you’re in a hurry it wouldn’t hurt ot activate it.

Just look at how many spams have been blocked. Imagine what my love would be if I had to go over those and mark them as spam! Now this reminds me, I still haven’t deleted spams on that blog of a friend of mine.

I highly suggest you activate your Akismet as soon as you install a WordPress blog whether it’s to be used soon or not :)
