Goodbye Froyo and Gingerbread – Hello Cyanogenmod 7.1!

Cyanogenmod 7.1

Guess what? Just a few weeks ago, I re-flashed my Samsung Galaxy Mini to Cyanogenmod 7.1 OS. I thought I couldn’t do it at first because the steps were pretty risky and complicated but well, I succeed! Just like how I succeeded in changing my Nokia X6′s OFW to a CFW from Symbianize.

So far, I’m loving it! Other than it comes with the ADW Launcher. I was also scared tethering won’t operate anymore but it still does work.

Well, this won’t be possible if it wasn’t for this awesome tutorial blog :)

So, there you go! It’s pretty neat and much better than Froyo or Gingerbread. Still haven’t seen a glimpse of Icecream though :P

The wonder of electronic payments!

I re-installed Paypal Mobile to my iTouch because I thought it would be convenient plus when you pay there, automatically the fees are not included. It would be ideal for someone on the go or someone who doesn’t really prefer to turn on their laptop while they just woke up! Like me.

I removed it before because I was worried about it getting hacked or something, plus I thought it was the reason why my iPod suddenly became laggish, but it turns out – it had nothing to do with it!

Anyway, won’t you agree that electronic payments are wonderful ways to go shopping! Life has been easier with them. Now, no need to go out and get tired of walking :P

Nurses

When I stepped into college, my mom wanted me to take up nursing – fortunately, I was allowed to take the course I do want. Not that I hate nurses and to be a nurse, but it’s not just my passion at all.

Lately too, it’s been an issue that unlike what parents think nursing is no longer the job that’s “in” after everybody has made their children take up nursing. Seems everyone took up nursing causing its job rate to decrease because everyone wants to get that job.

Worry not though, there are still Nursing Aide Jobs out there that can be of help. Although it will be harder to look for them than before. Well, once you find them it’s all worth it!

Ready for travelling?

Our semestral break is hurr! Oh yeah~ That means, rest from all the stress! But not so much since we’re to do something about our internship. I am excited and also nervous. I wish I can be as hype as my uncle!

My uncle’s hobby is quite different from the others. He likes going outdoors, mountains, buildings, the sky or the seas. I think he should have tourmaster jackets since he’s so into tours.

And I think maybe I need tour master’s guide to be more hype because I hate going outdoors, which is, boring! I know. Oh well, that’s how it is!

Geo Caching

I wasn’t a fan of GPS until it became a reason for me to make use of my gadgets’ GPS feature (by means of checking-in places where I go or stay)

But what surprised me is how this piece of technology is now not just a location indicator, but also game. Yes, ever heard of Geo Caching? I got an email from someone who seems to be recommending this chirp outdoor adventures Garmin Chirp. I have heard about Garmin being available in Nokia phones, but I never thought it was actually a device. I thought it was an application or something!

Now, these GPS devices are used to participate in a game where players are to make use of them as tracking devices in their “hide and seek” play.

Sounds pretty neat, but I still don’t know how it goes. It’s like the new era of the classical “hide and seek” when we just closed our eyes, lol. But then, who wouldn’t want to try cool gadgets with GPS feature.
