Due to the fact that I do not want to void the warranty of my netbook, I currently have to stick with Windows 7 Starter. Plus I don’t know yet how to reformat my netbook.
Anyways let me share to you the features that you can’t find in Windows 7 starter that I miss when I had Windows 7 Ultimate.
- Sticky notes – They are very useful to use as reminders I am a frequent user of sticky notes because I keep on forgetting things. And for a person who owns tons of blogs and who has so many things to do, who wouldn’t use sticky notes and even in real life.
- Enhanced Windows Tabs – Through Windows’ Twitter I found out about Windows 7 cool feature – the enhanced multi-tabbing feature. If you’re on Windows 7, try pressing on your keyboard the Windows key and then press Tab. See how it works, you’d be so amazed.
- Themes – In Windows 7 Starter, you can’t change themes. Not even the Wallpaper, but there is a way you can change the Wallpaper at least.
- Screen Savers – You cannot change your default screensaver, and it just so sucks!
If we look at it, Windows 7 Starter mostly lacks personalization options. I don’t know why Microsoft is recommending Windows 7 Starter to netbook users when actually, any netbook can handle even the Windows Ultimate. Well, it leaves me no choice – for now I will be with Windows 7 Starter. Sad.
